This is a very good diorama that had a strong message also. She was sending the message to spay and neuter your animals. Not doing so can cause an overpopulation of stray animals. These animals usually end up at the local shelter which the majority of are not "No kill". They euthanize them if no one adopts them within an alloted time frame. Diseases are a lot less likely in animals that have been spayed/neutered. This diorama was sad to me and created a strong emotion of anger also.
This diorama was amazing and I have something to say about it. Not only did she create the nicest, most detailed diorama, she had an excellent point. Football in America is everything. She demonstrated a Florida Gators game in which thousands of spectators cheer them on. Even though I am a DAWGS fan by birth, Florida continues to kick butt in the SEC. Most football fans love college football but there are many professional football fans as well. This pretty much means that if you are not a football fan then many households are not accommodating to you from late August to the first of the new year on Saturdays and Sundays.
My diorama was intended to resemble an abandoned community. The message behind my diorama was that it bothers me when larger cities continue to build outside of the city when there is no reason not to use the resources that already exist. The suburbs continue to grow while communities become abandoned and are subject to crime, litter and pollution.

"This is Me" Self portrait
"This is me" can only bring one thing to mind. A Volkswagon Bug. 1973 to be exact simply because that's my birth year. There art three reasons that I feel this way about myself. 1) It is short in stature. 2) It is shaped round with a great base to it. 3)Last but not least, very basic and constantly doing things backwards. Like a VW Bug has it's engine in the rear, I always have my head up my butt.
My Photographic Eye - nature
My photographic eye is constantly attracted to nature. I love trees, wide pastures, beaches and anything that derived from natural sources with very little visibility of human interaction. I am really drawn to water. I have been swimming since I was
3 and there is not much I won't take a dip in. The photos I have included are all related to nature.

INTRO 2 ART Poetry
INTRO 2 ART
INTRO 2 ART is a very busy class
I must admit, it really kicks my ass
After working all day, up all night
I have an assignment due every Monday midnight
Then my group and I must congregate
smile in each other's face, trying not to hate
But I admire Dr. Whittington's ability to teach
for her passion for art every student will reach
She is a proven hard worker so I will be also
Her intelligence is obvious, mine....well, not so
I hope that I earn me an "A" or a "B"
but if not, I appreciate art a lot more you see
I've made a few new friends and a couple of day trips too
Overall, I've enjoyed INTRO 2 ART, what about you?
Why I believe The Wizard of Oz is a work of art.
The Wizard of Oz is a movie that I definately consider a work of art. Not only is there much concentration on character development but the moral of the story is awesome. The most significant meaning about the movie is that the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion were seeking characteristics they already possessed but thought they were missing. In this movie, there is also a tremendous amount of performing and visual arts.
